In searching for, “A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless”, Pantone has announced Peach Fuzz 13-1023 as 2024’s Color of the Year. Its warmth and modern elegance best defines the human desire for closeness and connection.
Other brands, like Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore, have also become major influencers of color across all industries and platforms. While each brand develops its own color palette, you will see similarities throughout. Sherwin Williams announced their biennial 2024 Colormix Forecast, a collection of 48 different hues organized by four color families including: Blues & Greens, Reds & Purples, Deeps & Darks, and Delicate Tints. Highlighted within this Forecast as Color of the Year 2024, is Upward SW 6239, a color that is relaxed and carefree, and encourages us to “slow down, take a breath, and allow the mind to clear”.
Benjamin Moore also introduced their Color Trends 2024, with Blue Nova 825 as Color of the Year. Blue Nova is a sumptuous mid-tone blue, combining violet and blue, creating depth, intrigue and reassurance. This color palette of ten is curated with unexpected hues full of personality, ranging from barely there, to muted mid-tones, to rich darks.
